Here’s a bit of nervous system 101: The nervous system and immune system are hardwired to work together to create responses that allow your body to adapt appropriately and heal. Moreover, the autonomic nervous system is hardwired into the lymphoid organs (e.g. the spleen, thymus, lymph nodes, and bone marrow) of which directly produce the body's immune response. The brain, spinal cord, and a network of neurons make up the body’s nervous system. The spinal cord is an extension of the brain, and is protected by the spinal column. This system is responsible for sending, receiving, and interpreting information from all parts of the body. Because the spine plays such an essential role in maintaining your health and organ function, it makes good sense to be attentive in maintaining a healthy spine with a visit to your chiropractor.
