Make a right at the second traffic light, then take the interstate ramp to… CRASH! You’ve just been rear-ended. Luckily, you hadn’t made it onto the busy highway yet. Other than your steaming hot coffee spilling onto your right leg, which has already caused a blister to begin forming, you feel “OK”. Your neck hurts “only a little”. After taking a look at your vehicle to survey the damage, you phone the police. While waiting for them to arrive, you exchange insurance information with the driver who had just hit your car, whom by the way, still has a full cup of orange juice, meanwhile your wearing your morning joe. By the time the police arrive, you have long forgotten about your neck pain, even though the pain has begun to radiate down your spine. Now, let’s fast-forwards by 3 months and we’ll revisit this scenario tomorrow. -To be continued.
